Why Cameratrician Studios exists
After years of shooting, editing, and fighting with generic backup and cloud tools, we kept seeing the same pattern: backups were bolted on as an afterthought, cloud services were built for IT departments—not photographers—and the “simple” options hid important details behind magic buttons.
Cameratrician Studios was formed to fix that.

What is Cameratrician Studios?
Cameratrician Studios is a small, independent, veteran-owned software studio focused on practical tools for photographers and other image-heavy creatives. We start with real workflow problems—like making sure your photos are safely backed up—and build focused apps to solve them without extra fluff.
How is FrameVault different from generic cloud backup?
FrameVault is photo backup software designed specifically for photographers. It watches the folders where you actually store shoots, keeps your existing folder structure in the cloud, and restores into a location you choose without dumping everything into one flat pile. No separate AWS account, no server configuration, and no “magic” restore process you can’t understand.
Is this only for professional photographers?
No. FrameVault is built with working photographers in mind—weddings, portraits, events, commercial work—but serious hobbyists and anyone with large photo libraries can benefit from it. If you care about your images and hate worrying about backups, you’re in the right place.
What platforms will your apps support?
FrameVault is being built for both Windows and macOS with first-class support on each. Our goal is that installers “just work” on both platforms with no command-line setup or cloud-engineer knowledge required.
Do I need my own AWS, Backblaze, or other cloud account?
No. A core part of our philosophy is handling the cloud complexity for you. FrameVault uses a secure backend run by Cameratrician Studios, so you don’t have to manage access keys, buckets, or infrastructure. You sign up, install the app, pick your folders, and it takes care of the rest.
How will pricing work?
We’re keeping pricing simple: straightforward tiers based primarily on storage, not on confusing feature matrices. Exact numbers will be published closer to launch, but the goal is clear, predictable pricing that scales with your business—not surprise fees.
When will FrameVault be available?
FrameVault is currently in active development. We’re working through Windows and macOS desktop builds, private testing, and the admin backend that keeps everything in sync. As we get closer to a beta, we’ll share updates on our Facebook page so you can see when early testing opens up.
